Original Christianity was…later labeled heretical by the great Church…

Because the Trinity is such an important part of later Christian doctrine, it is striking that the term does not appear in the New Testament. Likewise, the developed concept of three coequal partners in the Godhead found in later creedal formulations cannot be clearly detected within the confines of the canon.

So the two points I want to tie together are that the original gospel is pure and any change to that results in error and secondly that the fully developed doctrine of the Trinity of persons cannot be found in the Bible. As the church began to try to explain the gospel more fully they developed extra-biblical doctrine. Doing so resulted in a perversion of the original gospel. The message for today is calling people back to the original gospel. It’s not a call to join an organization or a church, but to you as an individual and to the church, come back to the original faith, proclaim and teach that.
