The question I am posing and intend to answer in this article is simple and straightforward. The Bible clearly teaches modesty for both men and women. Brother Branham’s teaching clearly expounds on these doctrines and God vindicated his ministry. So to state we are message believers and believe that Malachi 4:5-6 part B was fulfilled in his ministry then why do we see people disregarding this teaching and not following it. The answer is unbelief. The reason that brothers are wearing immodest clothing and sisters are wearing make-up, cutting their hair, wearing pants and tight clothes is because they DO NOT BELIEVE!
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel (katastolay=long dress), with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 1 Timothy 2:9
If you really believed it, you would obey it and it would be a joy to you. This is not for your constraint, but for your protection and your joy.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” John 14:21. If you really loved Jesus more than this world (Hollywood vs. the Word of God) then you’d obey him. “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.” Matthew 10:40. Make no mistake, when you reject the word of a man sent from God you are rejecting Jesus Christ.
Many are not aware that it was never normal for a Christian woman to cut her hair, wear make-up or pants until the 20th Century. Prior to this time it was considered a sin and it still is a sin. Hollywood has prevailed and pushed its viewpoint upon the modern church world.
If you are a believer of the message then you will obey it and it will be clearly manifested in your life. Don’t play games or give lip service, it’s too close to the rapture to be doing that. Repent and be sincere in your heart. If you believe IT then OBEY!
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Romans 6:17
Borderline believers! Don’t just come this far, say, “I believe the Message.” You obey the messenger. Come into Christ! You say, “Well, I believe every Word said, Brother Branham.” That’s good, but that’s just–that’s just being able to read. Take the Message, take It into your heart, that you must have the Token, the very Life that was in Christ be in you.

The reason for the lack of modesty among message “believers” is that they are walking in unbelief. Faith leads to obedience! “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” James 2:18.
Why am I focusing on this issue? Brother Branham focused on this issue because it was a problem and it is sin in the church. And true men of God will call the people to repent and get right with God! The condition of the women in the church reveals the spiritual condition of the church as a whole. Read what brother Branham said about this issue:
If you want to know where the church is standing, watch the women. Watch the morals among the women, ’cause she’s a representation of the church. When you see the pollution amongst the women, you find the pollution in the church. What she become, a painted-up Jezebel, just exactly what the church has become. See? Now, that’s the truth, and you know that. See? If you want to know where the church is, watch the morals among your women. Cause, she is, the church is a woman.
